Services that are limited to East Toledo and surrounding areas east of the Maumee River*

Proof of residency is required. Also, proof of income for all adults (or proof of support, if no income). Picture ID and proof of everyone in the household. All of the above are required every time for assistance. Current utility bill or any type of mail with a current postmark and your name and address are acceptable proof of residence. We do not accept rent receipts or rental lease agreements as proof of residency. The services listed below are for people residing in the following zip codes:

Food Pantry

Tuesday & Thursday 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM (located upstairs). Picture ID, current proof of address, household income, and proof of household members are required each time. This service is available once every 30 days per household.

Showers

Tuesday & Thursday 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Clothing Center

Tuesday & Thursday 9:30 AM to Noon. 

Government Commodities

1st Wednesday of the month 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (located downstairs). Picture ID, current proof of address and household income required each time.

Hygiene Kits

1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (located upstairs). Picture ID, current proof of address, household income, and proof of household members are required each time. This service is available once every 30 days per household. Diapers, baby food, and sanitary napkins available upon request (when in stock).

St. Vincent de Paul Society Assistance

2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (located upstairs). Limit of up to $50, depending on availability of funds. This service is available once every 365 days per household. Help is up to the discretion of the representative. Checks will be mailed to the appropriate recipient. St. Vincent de Paul Society helps with the following:

• Assistance with disconnection notices and court ordered eviction notices: Most recent disconnection notice or eviction notice, proof of household income, and picture ID are required. Proof of other source of assistance is required if bill is a substantial amount. Payment will be made out to landlord or utility company.
• Birth certificates or picture ID: proof of address and household income required. Payment will be made out to the appropriate agency.
• Prescriptions: We do not help with any kind of mind altering medication (e.g. sedatives, pain killers, anxiety meds, etc.). Proof of income, residence, and actual prescription is required. Also, client needs to obtain statement from Pharmacy as to how much prescription will cost. Payment will be made out to the Pharmacy only, and only for exact amount of the prescription. St. Vincent de Paul Society reserves the right to confirm total cost with Pharmacy before helping client.
• We do not help with deposits or down payments for rent or utilities, phone bills, bus tickets, train tickets, cash, or gasoline for automobiles.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who:

• Does not have ALL required information.
• Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Is inappropriately dressed.
• Comes in just before closing time.
• Is unruly or causing trouble.
• Lacks adequate hygiene (e.g. excessive dirt, extreme body odor, etc.).
• Exhibits signs of infestations (e.g. lice, roaches, fleas, etc.).
